ABOUT US

Who Are We?

Gifts in Kind is a non-profit program established in Ottawa by United Way in 2001. We act as a central hub, gathering donations of surplus goods and services from individuals, corporate, governmental and non-profit entities and distributing them to over 200 non-profit agencies in the city of Ottawa. The Gifts in Kind program has been managed by the Rideau Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre since 2011. Over the last 7 years, Gifts in Kind distributed over $5 million worth of donations to Ottawa non-profit agencies.

Our Mission

In order to create a strong network of social service organizations with the capacity to meet the needs of their communities, we serve as a durable bridge for the donation of goods and services from the free-enterprise economy, individuals, governmental and non-profit agencies to other humanitarian agencies and individuals.

Our Vision

A caring community where surplus goods and services are purposefully used to reduce poverty and eliminate inequality.

ABOUT US

Our Team

Our efforts would not be possible without the continued support from our volunteers and sponsors.
